Foresight Sports UpNext Program provides competitive junior golfers with the resources they need to be the best players they can be. Our members can learn from the best professional players and coaches and Chris Zambri, Head Coach of the USGA National Development Program joined us to speak about the importance of collecting accurate performance data and what it takes to become a collegiate golfer.

Technology and data have played a significant role in Zambri’s coaching career, as he credits the program’s Foresight Sports Launch monitors for enabling him to gather important data and create drills for tracking player performance. During Coach Zambri’s time leading the USC Men’s Golf team, USC Athletics added Foresight Sports simulators to their program and saw immediate improvement in team performance.

Coach Zambri brings his collegiate coaching experience to the USGA as head coach of the development program, where his challenge is to deliver great coaching to players that he doesn’t usually see face-to-face. As Chris says, “without data there is no clear view of performance” and technology plays a major role in over coming this hurdle. Coach Zambri is able to assign drills to each player and to then review their progress in a consistent, quantitative manner. This helps younger players understand how they are progressing and where they need improvement.
